Last year TFWA World Exhibition & Conference welcomed a record number of buyers and landlords to the show floor.

A total of 2,861 came to Cannes this year, a rise of 4% on the 2023 number, which was already up by a significant 15% on the previous year. 141 landlord companies attended including over 80 international airports, with airlines, cruise and ferry companies also strongly represented. Many top travel retailers came with considerably larger delegations than previous years.

The industry enthusiastically embraced the celebratory atmosphere of TFWA’s 40th anniversary, as nearly 4,000 people gathered at the Carlton Beach for the ‘Starry Night’ party on Wednesday evening.

Reflecting the truly global nature of the event, all regions of the world were well-represented, with a total of 7,456 visitors from around the globe attending in Cannes. This number marked a 2% increase over the 2023 visitor attendance.

On Monday morning, a panel of world-class speakers took the conference stage, filling the Grand Auditorium to capacity as delegates eagerly listened to three inspiring women whose stories captivated attendees throughout the week. Additionally, the ‘Reimagining Travel Retail’ workshop at the Majestic Hotel on Tuesday, which focused on innovative strategies for stakeholders to thrive in a dynamic environment, was also well attended.

The event featured 462 exhibitors showcasing thousands of world-class established brands and innovative products across all categories, occupying over 25,000 square meters of exhibition space in Cannes’ iconic Palais des Festivals.

A newly formatted TFWA i.lab provided visitors with the opportunity to explore cutting-edge solutions and engage with innovative start-ups aiming to enhance the travel retail experience. The refreshed, informal setting encouraged conversation and collaboration.
