EVENT PLANNING & PRODUCTION

Venue sourcing in Cannes, with the event in mind

A venue shortlist is useful only when it reflects what you intend to do in the space. Cannes Event Agency sources venues for corporate hospitality, congress events and brand programmes, connecting the choice of location with the practical work of hosting there.

Guests gathered around a pool during an evening reception

From our event portfolio: an outdoor evening reception.

Start with your dates, audience, format and budget. We help translate that brief into selection criteria, compare suitable options and identify the conditions that need checking before you commit.

Look beyond the photographs

For a working breakfast, the priority may be a manageable journey and a room where everyone can hear. For a reception, it may be circulation, service positions and a setting that encourages people to stay. For a brand activation, visibility needs to be considered alongside installation access and the venue’s permissions.

Our brief can include hotels, restaurants, beach venues, rooftops, apartments, villas or yachts. These are possible formats to explore, not a promise that a particular property is available or authorised for your event.

What we assess with the venue

  • Suitability for your guest count, furniture layout and event format.
  • Location in relation to the Palais des Festivals, hotels and the rest of your programme.
  • Supplier access, setup time, storage and breakdown arrangements.
  • Catering conditions, kitchen or preparation space and service requirements.
  • Power, sound, presentation needs and any venue restrictions.
  • Weather alternatives and the decisions required for outdoor plans.

Compare the operating cost, not only the hire

Two attractive venues can require very different amounts of production. An existing restaurant may already have service equipment; a private property may need a temporary kitchen, additional furniture and a transport plan. We bring those questions into the comparison so the chosen setting fits the overall budget.

The next step is production planning: understanding what is supplied by the venue, what your team provides and what needs sourcing separately. Commercial terms and responsibilities remain part of the final agreement.

A location that supports your congress schedule

During MIPIM, Cannes Lions or MIPCOM, share guests’ likely arrival and departure points. A location should suit the time available between commitments. We can include guest transport in the plan where appropriate.

If you already have a shortlist, send it with your brief. We can help evaluate the event requirements and identify the services needed to operate your preferred space.
